Graduation Dreams

I graduated with an English degree in 2011 from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a head full of dreams to be a novelist. At the time, I was a contributor to a local glossy magazine, something I had become quite fond of, but still needed an extra job to make ends meet.

After a handful of jobs, one of which was at a website template company, I decided to go out on my own doing the one thing that everyone else at that small company hated doing:

I mean, how hard could it be?

In a word: very.

I started in the realm of copywriting, as it helped to somewhat blend the two before becoming technical, and slowly gained traction.

After two years, I quit my job and went out full-time helping small and medium sized businesses grow and become more profitable online. It wasn’t long before I realized that sometimes, businesses just want a little help with direction rather than a total overhaul (though we still do that as well!).

With a calling, I slowly transformed into a internet marketing consultant with a specialization in SEO.

I know the ins and outs of internet copy, content, and how to make it work on Google.
